BOSS BR 800

Can someone answer a question about THE boss BR 800 please?
I recently bought a used one and was rather hoping that it contained complete tracks in its library (for me to jam along with).
The unit I bought only has bare drum tracks, is this normal?

Do you mean that it only has individual drum patterns and not complete "tracks" (combinations of patterns/progressions)?

It has v1 v2 fill, intro etc but they are drums only.
I was hoping that it had complete backing tracks with keyboard, bass, etc for jamming along with.

OK I see what your saying. I think my DR-660 has some preset semi-complete tracks (made only from the available kits/voicings), but they suck lol. bad!

Maybe you can import from another source and store? I'd highly suggest to download the manual if you haven't already. It should be on their website.

I used to have one. Yes, it’s not meant to be an auto backing track thing but an actual mini recording studio.

I found the backing tracks on the supplied disc.
When I am in he mood I can just play them on my laptop and jam along, cant see me bothering to transfer them to the br800.
The br800 is a handy headphone amp and sketchpad for me.
