I've got one because they were kinda on sale last year when the 8 channel version came out. There's a bit of a learning curve to them and if I don't use it for a while I sometimes have to take out the manual for a feature or two.
Other than that, once you get hte drum track thing down, the rest is pretty much hit a button and record. It uses the old style memory and that is my only complaint. (can't remember the name, but it's the old large very thin memory card... well, large compared to an SD card)
The newer 8 channel uses a better memory version plus it has a USB port. But for my meager efforts, this little 4 track is plenty.
Like the ad says, "Sgt. Peppers was recorded on a 4 track."
