Boss DD-20 vs. Line 6 DL-4

Looking for more of a sound quality and ease of use comparison more than differences in number of delay types/times, etc. I am currently considering one of the two, as I'd like a nice versatile programmable delay pedal.

How easy is it to call up presets you've made on the Boss vs. having three easily accessible presets handy via stomp buttons on the Line 6?

Also, I've read that the dry signal is "truer" on the Boss compared to the Line 6, that the DL-4 has some latency that colors the tone even when the effect is off?

I remember reading reviews, probably on Harmony Central, that said that the footswitches on the Line 6 were mounted right to the circuit board, and people were having trouble with them breaking after they were stepped over a period of time. I went with the DD-20. It sounds terrific, and there are all kinds of effects you can get out of it. Plus, it's got that Boss bulletproof thing going on.

How many presets can you save? More importantly, how easy is it to cycle between them on the fly?

i love my DL4- and I use it a lot. Havent had a switch fail yet...you get 3 presets to save, also tap tempo...28 second looping (*very important to me*), also makes a cool auto-wah, backwards delay and auto-volume swell (slow gear). The pedal can be set for true bypass or not...and sounds wonderful. As clean or dirty as you want.

Yeah, I know pretty much all about the Line 6 unit. I ran a PODxt Pro based rack setup for a couple of years, and while the amp models weren't really my thing for live playing, I always liked their effects models. Upon looking up more information about the DL-4 I came across the Boss unit too, and was curious how they compared.
