Boss DD-3 vs. DD-5 vs. DD-6

Alright, I'm looking to buy a Boss delay pedal and was originally looking at the DD-6. However, I started reading up on the DD-5 and it seems to have most of the same features, and there's also the DD-3 at a lower price point to consider. I was hoping for some insight from those who own any of these pedals to help clear up the last bit of fog surrounding them. Thanks guys.

I would go with the DD-3, and here is why, The others may have more features, but that's not really stuff you're gonna be messing with when you're up on stage. Most people just need something with good delay that they can set the way they want, then just step on it when they need it.
I have also owned the DSD-3 and it worked excellently.
There's my suggestion. Rock On :smoker:

Cool, thanks guys. One question about the DD-3, does it have a tap feature?

I have a DD-5...I got it way before they had the DD-6 and I love this pedal...the DD-3 does NOT have the tap tempo(this is very helpful) and I do use the reverse on the DD-5...DD-5's are comin down in price, I say snag one used and call it a day!!!

Re: Boss DD-3 vs. DD-5 vs. DD-6

for a little bit more $, check out the line6 DL4...worth it for the looping alone, but the delays rock.

Re: Boss DD-3 vs. DD-5 vs. DD-6

Well, I'll need something that fits in a smaller space on my pedal board hence the stompbox, perhaps I'll check find a chance to noodle with the Echo Park as well.

If you're not complety hung up on buying a Boss you may want to look at the Guyatone MD-3. These pedals are super small.

I see no use for a delay without taptempo

I don't need anything ridiculously small, but something the size of the Line 6 DL4 is out of the question :). I'm probably just going to get a DD3 off ebay and try it out. If I don't like it I'll sell it and move on, thanks for the comments guys.
