I'm looking to get a delay pedal to use with my synth. I'm trying to decide between the boss DD-3 and DD-6. In your opinion is the DD-6 worth the money.

Re: Boss DD-3 vs. DD-6

I own a DD-3 that I don't really use all that much, but I think it's all I really need. 3 different adjustable delay lengths, and a HOLD mode which lets you repeat a pattern as long as you hold the footswitch down. At maximum it's really not that long of a loop though... the one thing I miss is a tap tempo feature... but with a little knob tweaking it's all good.

DD3, unless there is a feature you absolutely need that's on;y on the DD6 - And to show you how little I needed them, I don't remember what they even were.

Re: Boss DD-3 vs. DD-6

for synth? get the line6 dl4, use the looper for looping bass parts or piano chords, and solo over them. doesn't the synth have effects itself?

Re: Boss DD-3 vs. DD-6

The dl4 look pretty impresive. I'm looking to buy a pedal that i wont need to replace for one with more features. But I don't wont to spend alot of money for abunch a features I'll never use.

Re: Boss DD-3 vs. DD-6

well, the dl4 is worth it for the looping alone- but the delays sound fantastic.

Re: Boss DD-3 vs. DD-6

I personally prefer a simpler pedal if it can get the job done, and the DD-3 has been gettin' the job done for a long time. a timeless classic just like the MXR phase 90.

Rock ON :headbang:

Get a boss PS-3 . . . especially if you're using a synth. Not only does the PS-3 do delay and chorusing, but it can also make some pretty cool synthy sort of sounds . . .

Re: Boss DD-3 vs. DD-6

i was able to get a dd6 pretty cheap and its got some interesting features

theresa great 'warp' feature of the dd6 that i really like - it wont suit every song, but it has its place
