Boss DM2w WAZA Craft Delay?

Re: Boss DM2w WAZA Craft Delay?

Nothing but love for them from everything I have read.

haven't played one. There are lots of decent analog pedals in that zone.

^Can you imagine the heckling whinging and moaning if it where not :D
Yep totally....
Still a dark murky apparition, if you like that sort of thing.

I don't have a stake in it, was just curious. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to tell whether a delay were analog or digital just by listening to demo tracks.

Ah emulations are just that....analouge has its own sound for sure.
Tried one.....and have had a few of them old analouge ones myself, Ibanez AD-80 and the old DM-2 and 3, never ever loved that dark sound much.

It's actually priced very competitively for an analog delay, especially with 800ms of delay time.

BBD's are not as expensive as they used to be(well somewhat)
CoolAudio BBD are made by Behringer today.
Not entirely made as they used to be.
Some use less voltage, the frequency response is lower, so you need more chips if you want some fidelity.

Yeah, the expensive ones were NOS Panasonic BBDs, the new wave are reproductions. Kind of cool that there is enough demand to start producing BBD chips again!

Yeah, after I put the thread up, I readdressed the review and the price was not much more than a normal pedal. So, my bad there.

Well vinyl records are the hot stuff again as well...

Yeah, funny innit??? And last time I went to GC, they had a big display of albums there.
