I've owned a MT-2 metal zone (as you can see below) for about 4 of my 5 or so years of guitar playing. I'm also extremely anal when it comes to tone, so that means I did a LOT of research before I bought it. When I did I had tried out many other distortion pedals, and none of them could even hold a MATCH to the metal zone. Also just recently I thought about buying a new distortion pedal, and went to Steve's Music and Long and McQuade in Toronto to check out the selection. Through experimenting all on my own, I discovered that the Metal Zone beat down a Dunlop Dime Distortion, a Digitech Metal Master, an Ibanez Tube Screamer, and a few other pedals, including Boss Hyper Metal AND Mega Distortion (the red one already mentioned). So basically, stick with ur metal zone, not only for the tonal versatility offered by the fully adjustable EQ, but just because its a much better pedal, in my opinion:6:
