Boss me 80 vs Individual pedals

I was wondering how the circuitry of the the boss me 80 worked. I was wondering if it somehow has the same circuits as the pedals that it claims to produce a sound of (does if have the big muff circuitry on the "fuzz" setting for example) or if it is basically a computer that emulates the sound.
I want to get one, but if i,m not getting true boss pedal/big muff/other pedals they claim to have on the unit's sound then I'd rather save up and just buy the real deal circuits. Thanks.

Re: Boss me 80 vs Individual pedals

Digital processors like that usually have a series of variable-coefficient filters derived from finite-impulse modelling or infinite-impulse modelling. So, no, they don’t contain the circuitry of the original pedals. They reconfigure themselves digitally to model each amp, pedal, effect as needed.
