Boss MT-2 Twilight Zone Mod by Keeley?

Has anybody tried the Boss MT-2 Twilight Zone Mod
by keeley. I was thinking of getting one but not sure if it could give me a grat lead(vai, satrani) sound pluged into my 65 super reverb, so any comments would be very helpful.

i was wondering how that mod sounded myself... i love my mt-2 but if it makes it better then i'm always for it

It is the Keeley DS-1 Ultra that Vai uses, according to the Keeley website. I have the DS-1 Ultra, and an MT-2 I am sending to Keeley for the TZ mod, but I can't imagine the MT-2 will sound like the DS-1 even after the mods. :dunno:

hey spark, i realize he uses the ds-1 ultra but thats because he doesnt need as much distortion bc his amp is high gain. And can u post what u think of your mod when u get it

There is plenty of distortion on the DS-1 Ultra mod. I use to have it. It is more likley Via uses both. Either the distortion on his amp or on the pedal. Depending on the sound he wants at the time.

Use the DS-1 Ultra with a Tube Screamer boosting it, and look out.

I never liked the DS-1 but I thought the MT-2 was okay. I bet Keeley would make a monster out of it.:headbang:

Yes! It's got plenty of cut, you just have to play with those MT-2 EQ controls.
