Boss NS-2

This thing is a problem solver! I tried one on a solid state amp a while ago and thought it colored the sound. Recently, I've been using one on a tube amp with much better results. But my question is: should I put it in the effects loop or in front of the amp? It has output/input jacks, and also send/return ones as well.

Re: Boss NS-2

dont run it after a delay and you should be fine. ive never used one myself but i remember hearing some people griping about it killing the delay effect.

or i could have hallucinated it all :alcoholic:

Re: Boss NS-2

As of now it is the only effect I am running. But I've got a spina modded DS-1 I want to use for a boost. How should I run everything together?

Re: Boss NS-2

run it ~like this

guitar>>overdrive>>>ns2>>>amp>>(delay in effeects loop)>amp>speaker

that way as i remember before my delay got stolen, worked allowing the gate to kill the noise but while letting the delay do its thing

or just run the delay after the gate

Re: Boss NS-2

I love the NS-2. I go SD1>>NS2>>DD#>>>Amp. It really quitens things down when I am not playing. I have not tried the loop on the NS2.

Re: Boss NS-2

I like my tuner. I just stomp on it when not playing... or roll my guitar vol. down quickly. I had an NS-2 and sold it. It took the noise away yes, but I like the noise! It keeps me on my toes.

I used to do this alot when I played without the NS-2. Roll down the volume quickly, between rhythm parts or whenever feedback would probably sound out. I really like having not to worry about it anymore. It takes some skill to work the volume yes, but if you don't have to do this then you are free to sing vocals or perform better.
