Boss SD-1 with 808 supreme mod?

Hi, hope this is going in the right place.

A guy near me is selling this pedal for around £50.
I'm quite interested but don't know much about it.

Anybody know anything?

I'm currently using an old Ibanez ts10 tubescreamer.
I'm using it in the typical metal way, always on infront of the amp to tighten an boost stuff.

Is this modded boss any good as a tubescreamer type pedal?
Would it simply be better than my ts10?

Any advice would be awesome?

It's just a modded SD-1 to TS808 specs. The two pedals have the same basic circuitry aside from different part values here and there. Otherwise, same basic design.

Whether it will work for you is a matter of opinion. Only you can really determine that.

Is it better than your TS10? Construction wise I would say yes. Boss enclosures are durable as hell. The TS10's switch was prone to failing. Still a good pedal.
