I think that the CE-5 has a few more tones in it (but it's a little harder to find exactly the sound that you want with it). The CH-1 is a little more subtle (although you can get similar settings with the CE-5 by tweaking it a bit).

I have the CH1 on a pedalboard that I am not using at this time. Its a very easy to use chorus and it works well. I prefer the CE2. This is the chorus that is on my board now and I have had on my board for many years.
