It's coming with a EL34 in it but since the amp is designed to swap a 6L6 or an EL34 I thought I would buy some tubes to experiment.
My question is; As long as it's an EL34 or 6L6 I should be fine regardless of the tube manufacturer? I notice some tubes appear to be different sizes, I was thinking of a JJ 6L6GC to swap in.
Any thoughts on this? Am I pretty safe buying tubes as long as they are the correct sort?

You'll be fine with any 6L6/5881 or EL34 that will fit in the cabinet.

I notice that tube depot has a selection prior to buying for "low noise and microphonics" for $4, I'm assuming this is test they do on the tube and a sucker deal.
