Picked up the Super Clean to solve the issue with the loop on my Zinky Blue Velvet. Bruce designed the loop for line level rack gear, so if you run a pedal board through the loop with a long cable run, it's like putting a blanket on the amp. I hoped the boost plus the buffer and the EQ dip switches would bring the tone back, running a pedal board through the loop. Not only did the Super Clean do this, it also enhanced the tone of my other amps noticeably. Now I don't want to play without it on my board and on. It's one of those rare pedals that you don't know you need until you try one.
I thought my tones were pretty good with the Archon running a pedal board through the loop. That was until I tried the Super Clean in front of the loop. Set it up and turn it one and suddenly everything just sounds clearer and more defined, but what really surprises you is when you turn it off. It's shocking just how much it suddenly looses in life when you turn the Super Clean off. Now I'm going to have to buy a couple more of these things because it makes so much difference.
Will try to get a short recording up with and without it and standing in front of the cab the difference is very surprising!
