I figured I give enough **** around here I should back some of that up with some actual playing...This is a short solo from a Volbeat Song "The Devil's Bleeding Crown".



Volbeat is a solid band, but not one I would normally play, but lately I've been doing a lot of work for a guy who makes karaoke tracks for a living (basically anytime something requires some shred haha), and this was a pretty tasty solo so here you go! If anyone cares I can post more as I do any cool ones. It's me on the right and original track on the left.

This solo was my Richie Sambora Strat (loaded with a JB) > BIAS FX (TS808 into an 800...much like my usual rig except I can play it at 11pm).

I like this playing. Your notes although they are fast, are not only fluid, but distinct and articulate, and they don't smear, thats something I see on tons of tracks and I hate it. It takes real skill to put space between the notes playing at such a high rate of speed, so great job!

MetalManiac - Much appreciated. I certainly strive to refine my playing and get things clear, even, and articulate, especially when playing faster passages.

hahaha yeah it still stings a bit for me too. But since I usually don't start these until after 10pm, choices are limited. I will try to do some on the weekends so I can get my MP-1 or JMP-1 goin'

I totally get it.

I use amp sims on everything until I get the chance to reamp and then spend a few days getting loud. Then it's back to plink - plink - plink!

^ Actually yeah, not a bad idea. If I get some time on the weekend I'll maybe re-amp this through a few different amps...hmmm...

Yeah, didn't get to re-amping this weekend, will try and do some soon though.
