Just playin 2night on my Sunn S-100 amp( monster tone amp, 2x Vintage Dynaco transformers through a Peavey closed back 4X12 Black widow/Scorpion cabinet). Tonight i had kind of a breakthru. I suddenly discovered a refined, subtle and finesse type ligght sweping pick attack and a subtle feather touch on the strings. Usually i have a sometimes a heavey pick attack and dig my fingers into the strings, and for the most part i use a moderate pick attack and work the strings pretty heavey, which sounds very good, and dynamic, however i found really using a light touch on the strings and a sweeping and very light pick attack and the fingers can really fly!Its a technique thats going to involve practice and refinement, cause its harder to articulate the notes using a subtle attack.It involves mostly a lot of soft hammer-ons , pull-offs and bends.
