Custom, Custom V, JB, CC..... I think that a CC would sound pretty sweet in the neck of a guitar. Would this just completely not work?

a CC would be among the LAST choices for a neck bucker...most PAF type pickup in the 7-8k range would work, but more that that and you'll get lots of mud!
