Bridge pickups in the neck position?

I searched the boards but couldn't find the answer so I apologize if this has been answered before....

What can be expected sonically if using say a 59B or Ap2B in the neck position of a Les Paul? Has anyone tried this and if so what are the results of using a Bridge voiced pickup in the neck?

Bridge pickups tend to be a little hotter and darker then their neck counterparts. It usually works out ok, especially with the more vintage output pickups. For awhile the JB was popular in the neck around here.
