Hi I have an awesome Cole Clark Tele they are called the culprit3 model .
It came with a stock single coil hand wound cole clark bridge pickup that sounded great almost P90 ish , but me being a gibson head decided to put a duncan lil 59 t in it with a slpit. Now I am Diggin the sound a bit but it is very middy and dark.... dunno if the guitar itself is dark alot more dark than a standard tele.... not real convinced.... Would a 500k pot help?
Also what humbucvking tele size pickups would work well in a darker sounding hollow body type tele?

Heres some pics with original PU in it ( its not an option to put it back in because the swap was done at the factory and they kept it )

Re: Bridge PU for hollow Cole Clark Tele

Definitely should have 500k pots. Try .01mf or .022mf caps.

Would the 500k pots be for both volume and tone?,
the tone is the push pull pot which I am guessing is 250k can I get away with the cap change and just the volume pot being changed....?

Cheers J

500k vol AND tone pots. Don't use the 250k push-pull, that will darken your tone substantially. Get a 500k push-pull for the tone pot and maybe even a 1meg for the volume pot. I almost always use 1meg vol pots and 500k - 1meg tone pots with humbuckers in Les Pauls. I would expect that your hollow tele would sound even darker than a LP with maple cap.
