Bridge PU to go with a pearly gates neck

I'm looking for a p/u to go with a pg neck pu. I have the bridge pg pu but find it to be very lacking. The neck pu has that texas sizzle as they describe it but the bridge pu just doesn't have it. I find it gutless.
The guitar is a 335 style guitar being used for classic rock type stuff.
I have the WLH set in a LP guitar that I think sound awesome and I love the way they give the amp that extra punch. Is there another pu that matches the pg neck that give your amp that little extra punch like the WLH.
Thanks in advance.

In order of hotness...

a 59 is great match for a PG neck
Try a Whole Lotta (I think - never have, but I defer to actual users). You like it - why not?
or a notably hotter 59/Custom

Hi there Mincer, To be honest I think a little of both. I want a little more lows and little more oomph, something that pushes the amp when you really dig into it like the WLH pu. Honestly I would just buy another WLH set but I don't want to spend $250. I have a PG/custom hybrid that I really like but I don't want that much power and when paired pg neck it made the pg neck sound dull.

WLH would do what you're asking. But if you don't want to pay the money...

A Slash bridge in a 335 might do something similar. It would have a little more top end than a WLH, but it's a great all around rock pickup with more bottom end than a Pearly and has that extra umph without being a full-on hot pickup.

I don't think a 59/Custom would be right for you, based on the problem as you describe it. 59/C is thinner/brighter than a WLH. (It's not thin and bright in absolute terms, but just thinner and brighter than a WLH, IME.)

For Texas sizzle with extra beef, you might think also about the RioGrande BBQ.
It has fat body without sacrificing the bite up top.

Mine are in solidbodies, but for a semihollow that sounds a bit thin I think the BBQ is a great match.
Really filled out the tone. Classic vintage character with a bit of extra horsepower.

After doing a quick search on eBay for a rio grande bbq and seeing what they’re going for I might as well buy the WLH set.

I really like the Custom Custom bridge with the PG neck. They blend together very well in the middle position and the CC has a lot of cut without sounding harsh.

Not sure what it would sound like in a 335 but those pickups are an excellent pair in my HH Strat.

I hear what you are saying there, but I think he'll have output problems with that too. To put it down low enough, you'll loose too much lows and highs.

But I like how you are thinking. That was a cool combo if you are into those Uber-fat highs! Great nasty filthy cutting slide combo with the right amp too.

Thank you everyone. I been thinking and I'm going to sell a couple of p/u sets I have along with the pgn and just buy a set. Either another WLH or the Slash set.
