bridge pup choice for sterling silo30

Here's the deal...

I'm selling an Ibanez Prestige RG2550z with Dimarzio Steve's Special in bridge and PAF Joe in neck and with that money...

pick up an LTD EC-401vf (JB bridge, 59 neck) and...

Sterling Silo30 (h-s-s). The Silo30 is an import version of the Ernie Ball Silhouette Special. It has a basswood body, nice vintage trem, locking tuners, and vintage pups. I like it b/c it's compact and a very nice neck - small and comfortable. It has rosewood board on a maple asymmetrical neck. It also has 5-way switch with auto coil tap on the bridge pup in position 2

I may change out the bridge pup. I'll probably keep the single coils as they sound pretty good. I know there's a lot of basswood haters out there and I don't know why. Satriani, EVH, Vai and others all play basswood guitars for it's balanced tone. Anyway...to each their own. It's a nice guitar with nice appointments considering the low street price (about $500). Anyway, here's the pups I was considering:

1. JB - this has always been one of my favs. The output is pretty high tho and will already be in the EC (LTD LP copy). Will it not sound balanced with the vintage single coils?

2. 59b - this is a great all-around pup. Medium output, but has bite and tone. This may balance better with the vintage singles and can cover lots of territory tonewise. Never heard it in bridge of basswood strat tho.

3. Dimarzio Mo'Joe - this is Satch's sig pup. I had this for awhile in my RG and changed it to the Steve's Special. Wish I had kept it. This pup has some things going for it - it sounds good for a Dimarzio, it was designed for basswood, medium output, and the price is right (only $65).

The Mo'Joe seems like the logical choice, but like I said...I prefer the tone of duncans. My main gig is playing at church. So it's mainly contemporary Christian stuff. My RG, although versatile, is a little too "metal" for church and I really don't like the wide thin neck like I thought I would. I'm looking to cover more bases with a LP and strat. The EC is a great deal - down to like $430 at GC nearby and the Silo30 is just so comfortable and gets that strat tone. I'm not a big guy, so the silo30's compact body and neck feel great and look good too. I'm also looking to get rid of the hassle with the double-locking trem. The EC is fixed bridge and the Silo has a nice vintage trem with locking tuners to keep the tuning stable. If you haven't seen or heard either of these guitars, you can check them out on youtube.

Thanks for your help and sorry for the long post. Figured it might save more questions later to explain my situation up front. In case you're wondering...I'm playing through a Line 6 POD XT Live straight into the sound board/system. When at home, I plug headphones into it.

Re: bridge pup choice for sterling silo30

Go for the JB mate.

I have one in my USA Silo Special and I love it.... although mine's Alder.

They use 250k pots and that really suits the JB, takes away the nasty mid hump it's famous for.

Plus it splits really well with the mid single. :)

I lowered mine quite a lot till I got the balance I wanted.
