bridge single coil- lovers

Hi , i need an advice - i need contoured sound with big lows and chimey ( not to ice-picky)highs and scooped mids .SSL 1 was to ice-picky , alnico II pro had to much midrange.Somebody adised me Rio Grande Vintage tallboys.What is your opinion?

Your description sounds pretty much exactly like the Antiquity Surfer.

I don't know anything about the Tallboys unfortunately, but I'm sure someone else will.

The Tallboy is brighter than the SSL-1. Go with the Surfer.

Fender Fat 50s sound like what you want + they're cheap.

from description it seems impossible- Tallboy has 7.2 Dc resistance , SSl-1 6.50 - it means higher high frequencies peak

custom single coil for bridge. ssl-5 I think it is? (I could be wrong)

dc resistance doesnt mean much by itself. there are many other factors that determine output and tone
