Bridges - Brass vs. Steel

hey all...what have you found in your experience to be the difference between brass and steel saddles? is there a noticeable tone difference? i'm looking at the Gotoh GTC series...see below - string thru, brass baseplate, steel or brass saddles?

Brass is noticeably darker. Also consider titanium if you have a guitar that's too dark, it's expensive though.

Exactly, brass to tamp down the highs or steel to brighten it up some.
