Bright, punchy, noiseless Strap options

I am looking for something bright and punchy, not quite p90 hot for the bridge of a strat. I was thinking cool rail or lil 59. I remember the lil 59 having a lot of pop, more than I need if memory serves leaning cool rail.

Thoughts?

the stack+ options are great. noiseless and a few flavors depending on what output and tone you want. if you wanna think outside the box, get a mini humbucker or firebird pup in the bridge.

STK-S7 is a pretty underrated bridge pickup. Hotter than an SSL-1, not quite as hot as an SSL-5. And it's noiseless

Do you want it to sound like a Strat pickup or a humbucker? The CR and Lil 59 don't really sound Stratish. I agree that the Stack series is really great- the Classic Stack being my favorite for 'bright & punchy'.

Actually neither. Those are pretty easily gotten. I want something that fits right between.

I agree the STK -7 is a really good bridge pickup. One of my faves though is a CR neck pickup that I put in the bridge on a whim and it’s great, sounds a bit like the Dimarzio chopper. But my personal fave might be the Fury, love it. My second fave believe it or not is a Lace sensor blue.

i mean, i get the best tone with a black leather strap, but brown padded leather sounds brighter to me
You may be right but I find if you want sweet vintage tone it’s a must to go with the paisley cloth straps, nothing too wide that has modern tone. The super skinny ones sound a bit too 50’s, but I digress.

I had a Cool rail in an American strat a long time ago now that I think about it. Maybe with a pair of Vintage Rails. I also though a lil 59 with duck buckers. I may see if I can find some samples on youtube to listen too. I used to have an Area 61/58/58 setup I liked but they are very stratty and in a good way which is not really what I am looking for for this guitar. Have that covered

I bet a Lil 59 with 2 Duckbuckers would be fantastic.

When I think of the lil59 I dont really think of bright. I found it to have lots of mids and to be fairly thick. Have you considered the lil pearly gates? I have one in my telecaster and it is one of my favorite lil pickups. I was never very happy with the lil59 clean and thought it did much better with more gain. When I switched to the lil pg I found it to be much more versatile.

i agree it sounds much middier than the fullsize 59. i still like it for what it does though
