Brighter bridge pickup, PG or Custom?

Re: Brighter bridge pickup, PG or Custom?

PG is brighter and more vintage. Custom is thicker and heavier.

Both good pickups, but I kind of like the Custom more. IMO, the Custom/PGn is a great set. The PGb is sort of like a tighter PAF, but the Custom is like a PAF on steroids, which is what Seymour intended it to be.

With the custom you get much more gain than the PG (if thats what you're looking for). It also depends on the type of wood the guitar is. IMO the PG has better a tone but you wouldn't be able to play the "heavy" stuff you would be able to play with the custom. Just as Gearjoneser said "the Custom is like a PAF on steroids".

The Custom is higher output, but through the right amp, the PGb has no trouble getting heavy.
