Brighter neck pickup for alt 8?

so I was looking into buying a new prs but, after some thought, I decided to go with a warmoth build instead. I may be ordering it soon (a lot sooner than expected), so I need to think about it now. I like a little bit of a vintage jangle in my neck pickup (or at least some brightness to pop chords a bit more), but I don't think I can go the true paf or retrotron style because I want an alt 8 bridge and want the output levels to be a little closer. I was thinking a jazz, full shread neck, black winter neck or a paf pro. Any thoughts?

I have an Alt 8 and Full Shred in my Les Paul. Great combo. The Full Shred neck is great for leads and cleans and is amazing split.

I was thinking full shred, but something caught me about the black winter neck so I went with that. The articulation caught my eye, because I play some moderate distortion chords with complexity that my air classic kind of mushes out on. I'm laughing at myself over here because I have a pretty damn high output bridge pickup and a black metal neck pickup but i'll be playing rock and funk. LOL me, but I think it will work

Well, in my experience, you can make just about any guitar with any pickups do whatever you want. As long as you like the tone you're getting.

The articulation on the Full Shred neck is amazing. You can actually play chords with overdrive and they are clear with great string separation. And split with some gain is amazing.

* It also balances very well with the Alt 8.

Good luck! Glad you found something you like.
