since this is more a thing of amps and effects, i guess it belongs here.
i'm using a huge range of harmonics on guitar and i'd also like to use bass harmonics on my six-string, but i can't bring them out as good. I can't just distort a bass to the same levels as a guitar without sounding like ass. Overdriving the bass amp helps but i want to keep an as clean as possible sound in general. So with this in mind, what do you guys do to bring out harmonics(think john myung or victor wooten for example)?Any effects i should try to add into the mix? I know increasing the treble will help but that would also mess up my rhythm sound. I'm a bit lost right now, please help me.
