Hi Fellas,
Click for the demo.
Here is a demo of a hand wired Marshall 18W TMB clone, which was specifically designed (cap values and such) to sound somewhere in between JTM45 and a Plexi. I think that the friend of mine who has assembled this amp from very fine parts, did a great job.
I tried to get high gain tones with this amplifier in this demo.
The guitar I have used is my 04 PRS McCarty, with a Brobucker in the bridge and Pearly Gates Bridge (8.05K) in the neck. No pedals of any sort, just the amp is what you are going to be seeing.
I have used the cab of my Blues Jr. which has a Celestion G12H30 speaker in it. Not to get the neighbors' attention, I also have used Dr.Z. Brake Lite attached to this cabin in this video, especially because that I cranked the amp all the way and it is a 18W sucker.
The amp has 2 6V6 power tubes.
The written stuff is in Turkish, but I am sure you'll get the idea. All the numbers are adjustments of the corresponding pot designated in hours. Moreover, the first input (GIRIS in Turkish) is the sensitive one, and the second the low.
Some Turkish for positions of the guitar: Kopru means Bridge; Orta means Middle, and Sap means Neck.
By the way, here is another less formal "demo" regarding the Beano tone done with my R7. The pickups are Rolph's 59s, and again all you hear is the amp.
Hope you like it.
Best,
B
PS: The pages take a bit to open up. I dunno why. But once they do, the download speed should be quite good.
