Brobucker/Silver Dragon/Bogner drop C riff

I used a Rocktron Silver Dragon to boost my Bogner Ecstasy's red channel.
The Brobucker can do anything! Great pickup. :fing2:

Thanks guys! What do you think of the tone? I think it could be a little more of something but I can't pin it down yet.
I guess this is what most of you will call: 'angry bag of bumblebees'

I think dropped tunings contribute to that "lew-ism" as much as anything...anytime you add some gain and even just drop the low E to D...it starts getting that buzzy grinding sound.

The pickup however is quite clear, and throaty sounding. Nice to know it's that versatile!

I think I'm getting hooked to lower output buckers for that reason, clearer more tonefull and versatile. :fing2:

i find your tone enough articulate to give any detail to your riffing.Its very good for 2 guitar riffing too i think.Thick ,articulate and not so extreme saturated.

It actually sounds really similar to the kind of tone Queens of the Stone Age got on the Songs for the Deaf CD. Then again, they use drop tunings all the time, so it could just be that.

i find your tone enough articulate to give any detail to your riffing.Its very good for 2 guitar riffing too i think.Thick ,articulate and not so extreme saturated.

thx, *EDIT* it's the awaken channel *EDIT*, with the 'fire' control almost all the way down. Most of the sound is coming from the Bogner, the pedal tightens up the tone and adds a little 'flavour' and bottom end

Thanks a bunch! glad you liked it, but it doesn't need more distortion, that will only make it fizzier not heavier. Strange but true I found the tone improving when I started to back off the gain.
It needs more bottom end chunk, you can hear the epi's mediocre bottom in this clip very well.
With your gear you get a similar tone JP?

yeah it kinda does have the same dark flavor. I love dark tones! QOTSA sounded pretty good live when I saw them!

Yeah, you're right and that's why I use the TS-9 more often, it's tighter. I will record a clip with that one too. No tools near my Brobucker!

Very good riff and tone. But you have to ****in quadtrack!! It's gonna sound so much thicker believe me!!
