It could work, but I think you might have a really bassy pickup. If the highs were still present, I think an A8 Brobucker could sound good in a bright guitar.
I'm not sure I'd want it. I like the sound with A5.
I'm curious to hear what Jeremy thinks of them with A2.

Can't hurt to try it. You can always put the 5 back in.

i really like the alnico II swap. im using one stock with the aged a5 and the other a2. the change is pretty predictable but i really like it. less bottom, creamier top end with more robust rounder mids. the mismatch on the coil keeps the articulation up nicely.
its in my most used guitar with a slightly tweeked seth neck
