Broken earth wire - Diamrzio DP401 / Virtual vintage 2.1

Hi all,

I've got a Dimarzio virtual vintage 2.1 stacked single coil that when I removed I managed to pull the earth wire out of........

All the other wires look good.

Where can I attach a new earth wire or do I just need to scrap this?

Probably only the metal parts are grounded with the earth wire. The pickup should work without, but a little noisier.
If a new wire is attached at this side steel shield, it should do the trick.

Be careful when you do that. It's a big chunk of metal, and you don't want to melt anything around it. Make sure your soldering iron is up to the job. A little flux here would be good.
