That is the JCM800 preamp using JFets instead of tubes, I understand it's got a couple of tricks to get a bit more gain than the Marshall....

I'm pretty interested in trying to put one of these together. That's not a bad price either. may have to give it a whirl.

yeah 60 bucks for a well respected pedal isnt bad, plus putting it together could be kind of fun

I have 1 of those. It's 1 of the most 'amp like' pedals I've ever used.

It's definitely a keeper for when I'm using my old single channel Carlsbro 50-Top :D

i almost bought one but changed my mind when i heard the carl martin plexitone, but money has been tight lately so no brown sound for me just yet...
