Budget Axe w/Wood Mount Pups

Boys, I'm looking for a budget-priced 6 string guitar, with wood-mount humbuckers. Just one bridge humbucker would do me just fine, but I'm willing to consider any suggestions. I hate pickup rings and pickguards. Aaaaand...GO!

Thanks! :D

The only ones that pop to mind and I am not even sure on availabililty are the Swing MG-103 and Swing MG-505. The other thing is your definition of "budget". Really cheap guitars don't use more expensive construction methods. Then they're defeating the whole point.... (click on the images for links)

I must mention the Washburn HM series. Direct mount pickups, phenolic fretboard (so extremely fast playability), reverse headstock, grover tuners. Great guitars. I have a HM that is pickupless ATM that I could sell if you want it. I'd give you a deal. PM me if you interested in some pics. It's got a washburn floyd rose bridge.

Either way, check out this series of guitars, they are really good guitars for the money.

This definitely came to mind when you say 'budget', but if budget to you is sub $500, or sub $750, or even sub $1,000 options open up at each tier. Don't be afraid to pawn shop hop or check out your local GC's used wall, or even eBay. I've had absolutely phenomenal luck with all 3 getting amazing deals on well taken care of used gear.

I had an OLP Axis, and the maple neck and fretboard make for a good guitar at that price. A good setup and the right pickups would make one of those a very nice player. The higher end Sterling stuff is absolutely quality as well.
