I tend to think you get what you pay for, but for $15 for a whole set of strat pup's? I say why not, I've wasted that much on late fees at video rental places. So, even if they get installed have 3 chords played through them, ripped out and stuffed in a box fore the remainder of time...... You're still only out $15.
For myself, I have to weigh in my poor soldering skills. And is it worth it for me to have to wire up a whole strat for some pups that more than likely suck.

If you can solder well, and want to mess around, I say go for it!! Hell, I would if I were you. And you can always get some A2 magnets to replace the ceramics, or A5 if you get the overwound set. What have you got to lose really?
