Anyone have any Bugera experience ? In particular the Bugera 1960 Infinium ?
Leave them. V22 was the worst amp I've ever owned.
I have one. I loaded it up with a quad of JJ 6CA7s and swapped out V1 (I forget what I put in there). It's a great amp. It's loud as heck, so I hope you have either an attenuator (I have a Jet City Jettenuator) or a place to crank it up.Anyone have any Bugera experience ? In particular the Bugera 1960 Infinium ?
I've got many hours of mine run with every control dimed through a Jet City Jettenuator. It's still running great.Every time I've been tempted to order one (several times), I remember they're Behringer and think nevermind. I've owned 3 or 4 pieces of Behringer gear and the average lifespan was a few months. And based on reviews, Bugera is about the same thing.
Some of them sound GREAT. Behringer has made some killer stuff too in the past like the V-Verb but while it sounded good, yeah, a few months then dead.
For a couple hundred more you can buy the Peavey equivalent of their amp and throw it off cliffs and play it the next morning.
The Infinium amps came with a lot of improvements over their non-Infinium versions in regards to overall quality.A buddy had the Trirec as well, and he too had problems with it just cutting out. He has the 333XL and the 333 infinium along with the 1960 and a few others and he's had no problems with them. I have a 333 combo I got for something like a hundred sixty bucks shipped from MF last year and I love it. I don't gig with it, just crank it in the basement once in awhile. I know they (older 333s like mine) have an issue with a connector that melts which makes the amp stop working. Once it is soldered straight to the board, the problem goes away.
