Bugera gear.

Re: Bugera gear.

Short answer: yes
Long answer: yes, but you will encounter some volume loss as the amp has a 4 ohm out but the cab is 8 ohms. You could look at the bugera g5 head.

Re: Bugera gear.

Get a joyo bantamp instead of the bugera vintage. I own a bantamp, and I've played the bugera. Bugera didn't sound great. Also, get a Harley Benton g112 vintage. Vintage 30 loaded and really cheap.

A big +1 to that. Thomann's home brand Harley Benton has some really good products at really cheap prices, the Vintage cabinets are one of them for sure, I own the 2X12" loaded with Celestion Vintage 30's myself and I am very very pleased with it. I am surprised you guys know that brand in the USA, since Thomann is German and I didn't know they shipped to the USA as well, I always thought they were mostly doing business within the European Union. The Harley Benton Vintage series cabs are highly recommended! ;)

That's good info. I never realized Harley Benton had some connection with Thomann. Nice to hear they actually have some good products as well!

Only pieces of gear I've tried have been absolutely horrid... Cheap guitars and amps...

Their Power Plant seemed like no brainer deal: Very sturdy, with a dozen outputs, couple for 12 volts as well. Only after bying it, I realized it has barely enough output to run two pedals at the same time. Actually, it cannot run my two EHX pedals at the same time...

Re: Bugera gear.

Thanks for the responses.
I already picked up the combo and cab.
Price couldn't be beat.
Have had the V5 for about a year and got the cab @ 3 months ago.
Been busy with other projects so I haven't hooked the cab up yet.
Quick question. Am I right that I need speaker cable not instrument cable.

Re: Bugera gear.

Yes. Use speaker cable and only speaker cable.

I agree with their power station not being of value, a combined power output of only 500mV is just way too low for a power station, you are better off with a 1000mV adaptor and some daisy chains.
The power station of their rival, music store Köln (Fame is their home brand) would be of much better value to you, and only costs as much as the Harley Benton one:
