Built a guitar around a set of Seymour's Broadcaster pickups

And yet again, he shows why he's the man.
I've never been disappointed by SD products and the record remains unblemished with my new Broadcaster set.
They're amazingly quiet in terms of single coil noise and are dead on in terms of what I wanted to hear.
The bridge can twang with the best of em but with a fatter midrange that gives it a much different character than you normally associate with telecaster. The highs are smooth, never harsh and it is big, bold and full.
The vintage for tele neck pickup is just beautiful sounding. Full, articulate and smooooth.
I couldn't be any happier with them. Thanks, Seymour!

The guitar is weight relieved walnut with walnut top. Walnut/maple laminated neck with rosewood fretboard.

Some crummy video. This is my nephew Sean playing it a bit.

How does a walnut Tele sound compared to ash or alder?

Awesome! I love those pickups also! Never used them both together in the same guitar though oddly enough.

Weird. They do, in fact, work well together. Very well.

Thanks!

Thanks. Yes, it's a pretty classic broadcaster tone. Meaty yet articulate. It's a lot of fun.

Thanks!

HOLY SHIZ... that is a sweet looking tele. I had to wipe the drool off the keyboard to type this...

Duh! Sorry. I'm getting old. Nice licks. The interesting thing is, the single notes sounded like a Tele. The chords sounded like a Les Paul.

What amp?

Lol. That's the kicker. It's a VT15 Vox Valvetronix with an 8" speaker!
Clean sounds were a tweed Bassman model and the heavier sounds were on a Marshall model.
