Anyone have any experience with Behringer Speaker Cabinets? I saw one at musicians friend for 250 with jensen speakers and I was looking into it, and I know jensen speakers are good, thats whats in my buddys fender super reverb. but hows the build quality on these? are they reliable whatsoever? because I could used a good 4x12, but i'm a bit low on cash.

Re: Cabinet Question.

C'mon, no answers? Looks like i'll have to go somewhere to try one out instead I guess.

Re: Cabinet Question.

I had one I bought used for $100 up until last year when I sold it to make more room in here. I had it for around 4 years and used it heavy for 3. It was the straight front. I used it with a Crate BlueVooDoo and with an old Peavy Mace 160 watt head.

The thing was as reliable as any other speakers I've used. Sounded good for the money imho. When I bought my Marshall DSL, I demo'd it side by side with my stock Marshall cab with the G12-75's. The Marshall was a little tighter and more focused sounding to my ears, but at $250 new for a Behringer and $1100 for my Marshall, It's silver so it was a little more expensive than the regular black 1960, I would rate it exellent for the money. Even with what new Marshall cabs cost, they still benefit from a speaker swap, I run 2 of the stock G12-75's and 2 Vintage 30's in an "X" pattern and love it!

I also bought one of my ex girlfriends who played a Vox 120 watt medeling head, the Valvetronix I beleive and a slant front Behringer cab. It has been played hard and up until last year was still going strong, last I heard................

Re: Cabinet Question.

Behringer seem to fall into the grey area.....
Too poor quality to be deemed "Pro" yet
Too good value for money to be ignored.
And the speakers especially are seriously good value for money. Like all these things - try them out and see if you can live with whatever compromise is involved in having Behringer on your stack rather than a trendier but pricer alternative. Some folk HAVE to have a "Name" cab to boost their status, some folk just want to sound good. My cabinet is an ancient 4x12 loaded with 2x Fanes and 2x Goodmans and once belonged to Tony Iommi - but it has NO logo at all. Sounds brilliant, and that's what REALLY matters.....

Re: Cabinet Question.

^^ While I personally don´t like Behringer, this is more or less what it boils down to.. ;)
