California Prop 65 WARNING ON MY NEW PRS!!!!!!!

Ok so UPS just delivered my brand new PRS and i see this on the box!!!!

Should i be worried? Is it just the plastics in the gig bag maybe??

Would i have to eat the damn thing for dinner and wash it down w/a keg of 100 year old beer for it to hurt me?

I'm concerned because, if it plays well and i keep it, it is something i want to keep and play regularly until ground control calls major tom on my ass...

If it's just stuff in the gig bag, i can throw that out, i have a nice case waiting for this guitar.

I haven't had kids yet and this thing is worn dangerously close to the groin area.

Probably lead in solder. I've never heard of an epidemic of sterility among guitar and bass players. I've never cared, for reasons of my own.

I own Fenders and Gibsons and never saw this warning before and my Fender and was actually MADE in California

Not only that but 25 miles from the largest nuclear waste storage facility in North American and right in the middle of one of it's largest oil fields. Smoking a joint and drinking a six pack of beer while i type this, so maybe i should just shut up and play my new guitar!!!
 
California Prop 65 WARNING ON MY NEW PRS!!!!!!!

I have been selling paint for a living for almost 30 years now, and we have all sorts of products that bear that same notation from California. Nobody pays any attention to it, aside from taking a moment to laugh at the complete idiocy of what it says. Apparently there are all sorts of products that the state of California has deemed cancer causing, but nobody else sees that way.

Let's face it, the other 49 states are all just waiting for the San Andreas to go ahead and drop California into the Pacific!

It'll suck when the shipping prices of your food goes up considering California grows most of it. Otherwise it'd be nice having an ocean instead of Arizona and Nevada. Anyway, as far as that warning yeah, ignore. There are similar warnings when you go insides a business here. "Cancer causing materials." Prob. because you're in a bar, and it serves liquor.

The coast of California isn't going to slide into the Pacific. It will continue moving north until it eventually winds up being the coast of Alaska.
The state will wind up sliding into bankruptcy, and much sooner.

Even more fun, I've seen those signs at the hospital... Everything potentially causes cancer, so any item with a trace amount of anything gets a label/sign.

A guy returned a guitar humidifier at my job because of that warning on the package. What a wuss.

Lab rats fed their own body weight in something every day for a year showed a 0.53% higher rate of cancer. Therefore, said material must cause cancer in humans.
