Can a 5-way blade switch do more than one volume?

I dont know much about blade switches but is it possible to wire a HSS setup to a 5-way and have a volume for the neck and another volume for the bridge and middle? Or do I just have to go master volume. Ideally I'd like to have 2 volumes as I dont use the tone knobs at all.

I think you would have to wire the singles straight to the 250K and jump that pot to the contact points on the switch, and wire the humbucker straight to its pot, then that pot to the switch.

If you can do it with an LP and a 3-Way then why not with a Strat and a 5-way?

Yeah, pickup -> pot -> 5way -> output jack sounds about right although I am no expert in wiring mind you...

Most likely you can, but What switching options does the guitar have right now? The notch postions may mess things up, but I owuld have to know the specs of the guitar/pickups/switch etc

problem with that is that he wants the H and middle S to be on the same volume pot (so would he want 500k or 250k?) .. and if he did it the way you suggest, he'd always have the n+m in parallel, never each pickup individually ...

why not with a Strat and a 5-way?

... pickup -> pot -> 5way -> output jack sounds about right

the problem with this is that he wants to use the 2nd volume pot for both the bridge and middle ...

although I am no expert in wiring ...
correct :D

to the OP ... are you open to using a 5 way super switch instead of a stock 5 way ? .. if you are, i am pretty sure you can make it work ... if not, i am pretty sure it wont work ...

another 'out there' option is to not have the middle pickup on a volume knob .. so anytime it is active, it is full on ... might not work for you, but it might, so i throw it out there

and i take it you want a master tone that works on all , correct? ... so 3 pots total?

are you open to a stacked concentric pot? ... this way you could have an individual pot for each pickups volume
