can a bass be run into any guitar pedal?

will any harm be done to running a bass through any variety of "guitar" pedals? Like, say i have a boss digital delay, vox wah, tweak fuzz, boss chorus, etc. Are any of these pedals harmed by the different frequencies that a bass would send through them? I would guess that they might sound a bit odd with a bass going through them, as the circuits are probably perfected for a guitar to sound great through them, but i need to know if there is any risk of sending a bass through them?

you wont hurt the pedal but it may not sound so great thru some of em

thats exactly what i was thinking. and honestly, a weird bass tone is exactly what we are looking for haha.

yea, you won't need to worry about damage. only probably losing your low end.

It's all compatible, but the sound may not be optimal. I mix and match guitar and bass gear all the time. I just don't run my bass through guitar speakers.

John Entwistle of The Who used a Digitech guitar studio preamp for distortion and delays in his huge bass rig for the last 10 years of his life... mind you he had some cross overs and lots of techs to get things perfect... but still the sound of Johns bass playing had a lot to do with those guitar multiFX's
