Looks like a 1986 Model 4 in pearl white, w/tweed gtr case model CHC3310. My old school gtr catologs roxxxxx!

I feel like being helpful for some ****in' reason.
If the ****er is stock, it has two J-200 dual coil bi-level humbucking p-ups and one J-50BC humbucking p-up. (Obviously) a Kahler standard tremolo. 1 vol, 1 tone & jackson active low impedance electronics w/6db boost (@ 650 hz) control knob.

3 2-way mini toggle switches, r.w. board, solid basswood body.

How bout dem apples?

What are y'all's feelings on these guitars? There's about 5 of them for sale around here (some of them in good shape) for around $150-$200. Would they be worth picking up? I don't know for sure that their model 4's, but they're very similar.

how similar?
if you want a beater/experiment axe, go for it. if you want a player, i think most of them live up to that quite well. they're quality guitars from my experience

I actually love this thing...the actives scream and its a great player...one of those that just feels right, ya know. I didnt even have to tune it! It came from a pawn shop and I caught them pulling it, they hadnt even dusted it off yet.....129 bucks! Its pretty much perfect shape

The pickups are passive, just to clarify. The electronics though are active (the midbooster). And yeah, for stock pickups, they're pretty good.
