Can anyone identify this pickup?

I got a pickup from a local music store the other day for $50 (used).

It has a coil split, and is designed to be a neck pickup (that's what the guy told me)
I can't seem to figure out which one it is. I was wondering if there was a bridge pickup matching it.

Re: Can anyone identify this pickup?

its a 59 neck pup but its possible that the magnet is flipped compared to normal. fender had those made for some HH guitars with a pearly gates + in the bridge so you could get humcancelling with some different split coil options ala prs.

there are lots of bridge pups that will match up well with it depending on what tones you are going after and what guitar you put it in. the magnet is easy to flip back if that becomes necessary

Thanks for such an informative answer.
I'm trying to fix up a Viper by Bguitars. It's absolute ****, but I figured it'd be fun to make it awesome (if possible). It only holds one pickup at the bridge, but I wanted to install a neck pickup and switch.
Wanted to see what sounds the pickup was made for before getting a bridge pickup to match.

Let us know how it sounds...it looks like a pretty cool pickup.

It's great!!

I got everything soldered in last night (replaced all of the electronics) and got it intonated and all today.

It's awesome.. on clean, it does nice, full chords with a nice boost to the bass coming in.
On dirty, this thing is heavy.. sounds like I'm doing rhythm metal with my old settings. A little too heavy for my tastes, but dialing back the bass and adding just a tiny bit of treble and this sounds better than the bridge pickup on my nicer guitar.

Yeah! It is nice when a mystery turns out great! The color is pretty rare, too.
