Hey all!
I have an older THD 212 cabinet that came stock with the original Longhorns which are tweaked Clestion CL80s. These are the Celestion version....not the new Eminence version.
I want something different. I was thinking of finding a speaker to mix with one of my Celestion THD Longhorn (CL-80s). I thought about ordering the new THD Longhorn and Vintage. I also thought of finding an old Celestion V30....but I am guessing it will be too aggressive? I say that because THD speakers are mellow versions of the stock variants.
Maybe some Webers? Eminence speakers? Others?
My Bogner cabinet has the WGS ET65/Vet30.
I use a Bogner EL34 20th Anniversary Shiva, and soon a Mesa Mark V. I also might have a Rectifier 212 with V30s...
Most of my originals are rock and hard rock. However we started a cover band that does everything from 70s to current rock and hard rock. I tend to find ultra clean speakers too hard to play, not forgiving enough. Where as speakers with thicker mids easier to play, especially leads.
So I want this THD cab to be a bit different but still to compliment my amps.
Thanks!
