Hi i'm new to this forum :1:

I am really impressed with P-rails and thinking of replacing the the pickups in my Ibanez RG. Will the P-rails fit my guitar?

Some guys told me that I'll need a f-spaced pickup to fit my guitar. but I guess the P-rails are not f-spaced? or do they have a f-spaced version? or doesnt matter??

thanks guys,
latido

while i dont know if the p rails is f spaced, or a trembucker i dont see why you cant install it.

if it isnt available trembucker, the polepieces will be slightly misaligned, but many users here have guitars like that and claim it doesnt change a thing in most cases.

worst case scenario is your low and high E strings won't line up too well and will have very, veerrrryyyy slightly less volume. just raise the E string's pickup poles a couple turns to compensate and you're good.

Trembuckers, or "F-Spacing," are more for looks than any real tonal advantage - at least to my ears. I remember when they first came out, everyone was grabbing them up - had to have the poles under the string!

In general, rail type pickups don't usually come in different spacing because the rail is long enough that the string is never not on it.

Yup, it fits on my guitar with a Floyd Rose and no problems there, as long as you follow the instructions.

Yea there's no huge difference just that F-spacing won't drive you insane when you look at it if you pay attention to as much detail as I do.
