Can Seths get this tone????

I've been listening to these beautiful clips lately :

Doubt I will ever cop this tone or even close.

Its a 60s 335 to a Fuchs 50 thru a Bob Burt V-front cabinet loaded with an Eminence Wizard speaker. Its a very clear , almost acoustic like sound.

The Seths can't cop this tone due to that strong mid range honk. You reckon these are the wrong pups for this sound?

My first inclination is that it sounds like a P90...maybe try a Varitone circuit as in the BB King 335?

What kind of guitar are you using and what pickups are in there now?

Sound very a5 to me. I'd bet you could get reasonably close with some Seths.

Using an Artcore 335 with a Seth necker.

So far I'm not able to get close. Initially thought it could be due to different tubes. Mine uses El34s.

Its a 67 335 being used in the clips. So its probably stock.

Any ideas which pups can help me nail really close? Thanks.
