Can someone fix my pedal?

I did some modifications to my DS 1 pedal and now the led light won't come on, and I get no sound except for a thump the repeats in rhythm. I may have messed up one of the traces. Can anybody fix it for me, for a fee? PM if you can, because I really want this to work. Thanks.

Re: Can someone fix my pedal?

Lets work ya through it. I've destroyed about 4 Boss pedals in my time by over-modding them. Modding, remodding, remodding, and testing all sorts of things until the solder traces couldnt take it anymore. But there are ways around it when a solder trace lifts. Follow that trace to where it ends up. Cut the lead of the component that would go into the lifted trace so that it doesnt make it through the hole in the board. run a wire on top of the board (component side) from the now shortened lead to the lead on the component that the trace would have gone to. You may need to replace the two components in question so you can have leads that stick out from the top of the board. Otherwise, you could try running the wire on the bottom of the board.

Reheat every solder joint just to get the solder to "flow" again and rebond to the metal you could have a cold joint somewhere. As far as the LED not lighting, check the orange and green wires that come off the tiny LED board that they are fully into the main board.

Try those things, report back. We'll try and get it working.

I tried what you said, and no luck. The rhythmic thump is gone also. Let me make sure I am describing my problem correctly. The lighter green part has peeled up, leaving an orangish brown looking part on the board. I soldered some wire to the light green part, then stuck the wire through the hole and soldered it to the wire from the Boss (white one). That's as far as I got. The solder didn't want to stick at first, which I thought was odd. I probably did something wrong. What do you think?

Re: Can someone fix my pedal?

Start at the first spot you started modding, then do what Joe said (replacing traces with wire), testing after each one to see when you've fixed it.

If that doesn't do it, it's gonna be awful tough to diagnose online.
