can two bar mags be stacked?

Thats interesting, because the two mags would oppose each other, and possibly, be in a constant state of de-magnetizing each other. Hmmm . . .

I asked the same question a few weeks ago...I called Allstar Magnetics to get me answer...here is what they told me. When the 2 magnets actually touch and stick together there is some (very little) de-magnetizing...once they are "stuck: together they age and de-magnetize like any other normal magnet, and yes the strength would go up, so in short it can be done...as soon as I get the chance I am gonna try it...if you do it first let me know what happens!

Magnets are fine as long as there are attracting to each other. Its when you try to push them togeather and they are opposing each other that is bad. That will de-magnitize them.

This depends on the magnets. Alnico will demagnetize. Ceramic won't. That's why you can have a pup like the Invader, whose magnets touch each other with like poles. Well, at least they touch a common piece of steel that way...
