can we talk speakers?

I'm thinking of changing out the speakers in my amp. Roland silver-cone speakers don't seem to have enough fullness to me. So I'm looking for something with lots of bass but plenty of chime on top- rated at at least 60w (don't want to blow them now, do we? )

What speakers do you like and why?

One of the best values out there right now are the new Eminence Patriot and Redcoat lines of speakers. Good ones all over the place.

My faves are Celestion G12H30's. Why? They're just great and do everything I want a 12" speaker to do!

Then I would find it hard to argue with the G12H30 comment or the G12H30/V30 combo. Great speakers. They really compliment each other well and they'll have decent resale value.

More to look at would be the Eminence Red Fangs. Very brittish alnico tone, similar to the celetion blues, but cheaper.

I may be selling a couple of Celestion g12k100 speakers from a Marshall mode 4 or possibly a couple of Mesa Black shadow 90 speakers after the 1st.
