Re: Can you simply string a right hand guitar backwards for left handers..or more to
Fellow "tortured" lefty here. You righties and your special picks and your "he he hes" can kiss my arse! Imagine yoursleves walking into a guitar shop and looking on the walls at all these beauties... and then you find that one.... the one you've been looking for.... and it's CHEAP TOO!!! But wait... what's this... it's LEFT-HANDED!!!!! You look around and ALL THE FRIGGIN GUITARS ARE LEFT-HANDED!!!! How can this be? Someone wake me up from this nightmare!!!!
Well, that's how us lefties feel every time we walk into a guitar shop. We have to mosey over to the back corner where they keep the left-handed axes... the usual suspects: Mexi Strats, knockoff LPs, and Hondos.
BASTARDS!
Anyway... back to the thread... for electrics you just need to flip the nut and re-intonate. But be carefuk if it's an acoustic. The bracings on the soundboard are usually not symetrical. They're specific to the slant on the bridge/saddle and their tension. I'm not sure about nylon string acoustics... but it's true for steel.
Rock On!
